Thus why I said your logic and argument was indeed flawed big time. Yes but you was conflating at first all games having other options then KD&M (I refere to KB&M that way as there was a time even FPS games didn't need the mouse and many other game times ) as consolization/casualization which that is not fully the truth but more like half the truth as like with Blades of darkness its shown its still a pratice at times to add controller support way after the fact. In today's cross-platform world, they're built for controllers first, or only. Those types of games you mention was built for M&KB first, then joystick etc. Hence the focus on cinematics, quick-time events, scripted actions (because of the few buttons available), etc. Which further invites certain other, now established, conventions. When you have to make sure the controller works for a game, you're limited to what a controller can do. Just felt like suggesting some games aswell as I have seen plenty of people wishing sonic games would be on here and they do tend to scratch that sonic game itch for alot of people Not a full on guarantee but it seems very common of em.Īnyway sorry for rambling just was sorta on topic and was like''might aswell share a odd factoid thats related to the topic'' sort of thingĪlso if you want a sorta sonic like game Jazz Jackrabbit 1 and 2 has controller support and is on here or if you want a newer one for sure inspired by sonic games then Freedom planet is a clear cut one thats on here too. I don't know why Dos games like 9 out of 10 Dos games has controller and/or joystick support yet Windows games of the same era seems to usually lack it from my experience but ya any Dos games you can be pretty much assured so long as you have a controller or joystick you are set on them. can't recall where but ya some advise those if you like dos games a safe bet is they have controller support. ![]() Which I found the link in a old thread somewhere on here some time ago. Thanks! No problem glad I could help honestly I found it awhile back given I noticed GOG's oddness on not listing alot of games that has controller support. Rabblevox: This is a GREAT resource I was unaware of!
